Meet Darla and Terry

When life feels overwhelming, having someone who truly understands can make all the difference. Darla and Terry are Licensed Professional Counselors who have dedicated their lives to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s most difficult challenges.

Having called Granbury, Texas home for more than 10 years, they are deeply connected to the community they serve. Their commitment extends beyond the counseling office and into the heart of Hood County, where they actively support individuals and families during times of crisis.

Both Darla and Terry serve on the local crisis response team, working alongside the hospital and Sheriff’s Office to provide support during emergencies and traumatic events. Whether responding to family crises, grief situations, mental health emergencies, or community tragedies, they are often among the first professionals called to help people find hope and stability during difficult moments.

Their years of experience have equipped them to provide compassionate counseling in a wide range of areas, including:

  • Marriage and relationship counseling
  • Family counseling and support
  • Grief and loss recovery
  • Anger management
  • Sexual addiction counseling
  • Trauma and disaster aftermath support
  • Suicide intervention and crisis counseling
  • Personal growth and emotional wellness

Darla and Terry understand that seeking help can be difficult. They strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can openly share their struggles and begin the healing process.

Through online counseling sessions, they make professional support accessible and convenient for individuals throughout the community. Sessions are available for $50 per hour, providing affordable care for those seeking guidance, healing, and hope.

Their mission is simple: to walk alongside people during life’s challenges and help them discover practical solutions, renewed strength, and a path forward.

After years of counseling and crisis response work, Darla and Terry recognized a growing need within the community. They frequently encountered elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and families facing financial hardship who lacked the support and resources needed to navigate difficult circumstances. Seeing these needs firsthand inspired them to establish the nonprofit organization.

Their vision was simple: to provide practical assistance, emotional support, and counseling services to some of the most vulnerable members of the community. Through the nonprofit, they are able to extend their mission beyond counseling and help neighbors access the resources, encouragement, and care they need to thrive.
